Omega employees are registered for our travel insurance as part of our comprehensive insurance scheme.

All employees in Omega are automatically registered for Gouda travel Insurance.

• The Insurance applies to travels worldwide
• The insurance applies to all employees on holiday, leisure and business travels up to 60 days
• The insurance also applies to the employee`s spouse/cohabitant and his/her own children under the age of 20
• The insurance applies to business trips exceeding 60 days

Cover for employees posted abroad

For foreign nationals posted in offices outside Norway, illness or accidents while travelling in the country of assignemnt is not covered.

For foreign nationals employed in Norway, illness and accidents while travelling is not covered by this insurance in their country of domicile.

Report a claim

In case of a claim or medical appointment Gouda must receive the original receipt/invoice and the notice of claim within five month after the event, to repay the expences.

Natural disasters

Flood in Thailand (October 2011)

The rainy season in Thailand has led to big floods that especially has affected the northern and northeastern parts of Thailand, and the areas in and around the capital.

The Norwegian Foreign Ministry discourages traveling to and stays in Bangkok that are not strictly necessary. Please notice that this does not apply to Suvarnabhumi, Bankok`s international airport.

Cancellation Insurances

The flood is considered a natural disaster. Clients who cannot go through with travels to areas as a result of the flood, and who planned only to travel to this area, can have the trip covered, if it was planned to happen within 72 hours after the travel advice was given. (This does not apply to private whole year insurances signed before 01.10.11). As the airport is open, most travellers will be able to travel further in Thailand as planed. Clients must first contact their travel agent or airline to learn about their options for cancellation or changes in travel.

The insurance cover does not include natural disasters

Evacuation

The Norwegian Foreign Ministry has not indicated evacuation from Thailand, and the insurance does not cover travels back to Norway.
