Connect gives Omega team members easy access to all necessary applications gathered in one place; Timesheet, Advantage offers, news, e-mail and much more. Here you will find the entire inventory with instructions on how to Get Connected.

Connect is a fast and well-functioning portal, where all information and applications Omega-employees need are easily accessible.

On Connect you will find:

TeamDocuments

TeamDocuments has become an integrated part of Connect, where you will get updated TeamDocs continuously on Connect`s front page. You can access your TeamDocuments directly from connect.omega.no where you also find a search field for your TeamDocs.

Inside Omega

On Connect you will also get daily updates served from Inside Omega. Articles with the latest from teambuildings, Advantage-offers, activities, and the Omega organization are automatically added to the Connect front page.

Quick News

Connect also introduces Quick News, Omega`s own Tweets from the Service Centre and management. Short messages with updates on Advantage offers and other significant happenings in Omega.

Email

Your email account is integrated in Connect and you will get your latest mails on the Connect front page, along with your calendar, meetings and appointments.

New Positions

Link to jobs.omega.no showing all vacant positions in Omega. The number of positions at the moment is listed in brackets.

Find People

The Find People search field helps you find all Omega employees and their contact information.

My Tasks

Under the TeamDocuments search field you will find a list over all your assigned tasks, where you can click your way directly into TeamDocs.

Improve

Omega`s Improve application makes it possible for all employees to report problems or make suggestions on how to improve Omega.

To report a problem or make a suggestion, click the Improve button on the upper right hand corner of Connect, and you will get three choices:

  • Report a bug: If you find a problem in our systems please report it and save others from experiencing the same issues.
  • Make a suggestion: Make a suggestion and contribute to Omega`s best practices. It could be something new or something you think should be done different.
  • Report a Non-Conformance or RUH: If something has happened that we should document and learn from, please tell us.

Admin menu

Connect gives you access to all applications for pay slips, travel expenses, and time sheets in one place under the Admin menu.

Travel expenses

All expenses for both commuting and business trips is to be registered under Travel Expenses.

Here you will register the information about all expenses, allowances and remuneration. All receipts and signed travel expenses can also be attached in this section of Connect.

Salary Statement

Your monthly pay slip with information about your work hours and pay can be found under Salary Statement.

Account records show your earned wages, travel expenses approved for pay, paid wages and possible pay deductions.

Invoiced lets provision based subcontractors get an overview of what is being billed to clients.

Timesheet

You will register your work hours in Timesheet. You are to register your work hours and actual overtime daily. This is necessary because Omega is required by law (AML) to keep track of the number of accumulated overtime hours you have worked.

Setup Item List in the upper left hand corner you may tick which wage categories you need to register in.

You can print your timesheet using the Print Timesheet button.

If your hour registration is the same from one week to another, you may copy one week`s registration using Copy from previous week.

If you are in need of a self-certification form you may click Sick leave and you can choose between the English and Norwegian form.

On the bottom of your Time Sheet, you can make your own comments or notes about each work day.

Advantage

All applications needed to use Omega`s Advantage program are easily accessible on Connect under the Advantage menu, where you also will find your account and Advantage activities to make points.

Exercise Log

Exercise Log is a calendar for your registration of exercise hours. If you have exercised and registered eight or more hours during the month you will receive 2 500 Advantage points.

Today’s date is marked in green.

To mark the calender for exercise, start by click the second box from the bottom. One box equals 1/2 hour.

To delete, click the box and it will disappear. To delete the entire exercise, click the bottom box of the day, Clear.

On the bottom of the page you will see the summarized hours of exercise every week and month.

E-learning

Omega has developed its own e-learning course in basic HSE for its employees. All five sections of the course and the following tests are mandatory.

You will receive 10 000 Advantage point after having completed each section.

You may start and finish the course at any time. You can start one course, take a break and finish where you left off at another time.

All the courses have a duration of approximately 40 minutes, and are available in both English and Norwegian.

Accommodation

The calendar gives you an overview of Omega`s accommodation range, and allows you to make a booking.

There are different color codes used to signal the status for the various accommodations:

  • White: Available for booking
  • Orange: The accommodation is booked by others.
  • Green: Your own booking.
  • Grey: Accommodations are not available during this period.

You may book a stay by clicking on your desired starting date of the calendar.

A new window will appear on the screen, where you fill in the dates for the duration for your stay.

If you would like to give some additional information about your request, please note this in the Comment box at the bottom of the window.

Click Save booking.

Personnel locator

Connect`s Personnel Locator enables you to find contact information for all of Omega` team members:

  • Phone
  • Email
  • Work location
  • Region in Omega
  • Name of project

The Personnel Locator has its own search function and filters.

Advantage Events

In Advantage Events you may sign up for, and find information about Omega`s upcoming events.

To the right of the name and date of the event, you will find the amount of Advantage points you need to participate, the number of participants confirmed, and number of requests.

Click Sign up on the right and a new window will appear.

You must register whether you are attending as single or with a partner/guest. If you wish to use the offer of staying at a hotel during the event you must register what kind of hotel room you want.

NB! If a partner/guest is attending the event, you must register his/her full name in the comment box.

Click OK and your request is sent.

At the bottom of the page you will find additional information in Event Details, names of attending Participants and participants on Waiting list.

The Column on the right hand side of the Events page gives you access to your Advantage Account that shows balance, deductions, and deposits.

You can suggest new teambuildings, concerts, sporting events etc. Register the information under Suggest New Offer and click Submit Suggestion.

Under Contact Service Centre you will find contact persons that can answer your questions about Advantage.

Account

Under the Advantage menu in Connect you can access Account, that helps you keep control of your Advantage Points account with all deposits, deductions, and balance.

As an Omega employee you will receive 10 000 Advantage points every month.

You may get extra points through the various Advantage activities; by using the Exercise Log, completing the e-learning courses, or contributing with tips to our recruiting campaigns.

My profile

New TeamDoc

Connect enables you to easily make a new TeamDoc , simply by clicking under My Profile, and register the name of your new TeamDoc.

Click Create and your new TeamDoc is ready to go.

Send SMS

You can send Tex tmessages from Connect. Register the number of sender and receiver. You can search through the entire Omega contact list to find the phone number.

Click send .

By clicking Show/hide sent messages and you will see all your sent messages. If your message has been sent, you will see delivered on the right hand side of your sent message.

My CV

You may access you CV from Connect, and we encourage everyone to update their CVs regularly. It is especially important to update your experience, certificates and courses.

Register your latest CV updates and click My CV is updated.

TeamDoc Tasks

Connect gives you easy access to all your tasks in TeamDoc. In My Tasks you may see the priority of the task, who is responsible and who made it.

From Connect you may also update the progress of the task, and enter the TeamDoc directly by clicking on the ID-number to the left of the task.
