Trondheim office opened
Published: 03.11.10
Trondheim is the latest addition to Omega’s expanding range of office locations in Norway.
Omega AS opened its first Trondheim office 9 November 2010, marking another important milestone in the company’s rapid expansion across Norway.
The Trondheim office will position Omega to better serve its existing consultants and customers in the region, whilst also providing a base for more active local recruitment and training.
Omega’s push north will be spearheaded by Omega Managers Trond Aarsland and Camilla Berg, who see great potential for growth in their local area.
“Trøndelag is an increasingly important region in the oil and gas industry, and we want to be part of that growth,” says Aarsland.
“As of today, approximately 5 percent of Omega’s 690 team members are based in the Trondheim region, and we anticipate that this figure will rise with the establishment of a solid Omega presence here in Trondheim.”
The Omega office is located at Pirsenteret in Trondheim. The majority of Omega’s Trondheim-based team members are employed on Statoil’s Kristin project, the office of which is in Stjørdal.
Trondheim is the company’s fifth office in Norway; Omega is also present in Ølensvåg, Stavanger, Oslo and Bergen, and internationally in Calgary, Houston, Singapore, Australia and Lithuania.
Local consultants, Omega’s Trondheim-based personnel and visiting Omega representatives gathered at the new office 9 November at 4pm for the official opening.
Inside Omega looks forward to bringing you news and images from the official opening.
