Omega AS acquires Omniware AS

In November 2010 Omega AS acquired all of the shares in Omniware AS. The transaction included all subsidiaries of Omniware AS: Omniware Australia Pty Ltd; Omniware America Ltd; and Omniware UK Ltd.
Omega’s Chief Executive Officer, Petter Aalvik, is confident that Omega is now better positioned to maximise growth within project management, contract management and HSE management globally.
“With this acquisition, Omega can provide its clients with a broader portfolio of products and services, as well as increased global coverage”.
The acquisition in November 2010 solidifies Omega’s position as one of Norway’s leading IT companies.
Omniware AS was founded in 1994 with the development of HSE and contract management software. . Omniware is based in Norway and has subsidiaries in Australia, the UK, and the USA. Omniware currently delivers software to more than 70 companies internationally.
Omega AS is one of Norway’s leading IT companies, with more than 700 employees worldwide. Omega’s PIMS product sets the standard for project management software in the energy sector and has experienced rapid growth, both in Norway and internationally, since its inception in 1991 .
