Reinforces management team
Published: 15.02.12
The consultant team at Omega's head office in Ølensvåg is preparing to welcome more team members as new Consultant Manager, Leon Dyngeland, prepares to recruit in the Haugaland region.
Leon Dyngeland’s main focus will be on recruitment in the Haugaland region surrounding Omega's head office in Ølensvåg, Norway. At the beginning of 2012 Omega had over 266 employees based in Haugalandet. Since 2009, the number of Omega consultants has doubled in the region, and the trend is set to continue. The capacity in the management team is therefore increasing parallel with the number of employees and client requests.
Strengthens head office
In the course of the last five months, two new Consultant Managers have joined the office in Ølensvåg; Pablo Tveita in September and now Leon Dyngeland.
“We are entering a very exciting time in Omega. There are great expectations in the industry connected to new oil discoveries, and at the same time we are fighting to get in touch with consultants in the market. I am looking forward to an exciting and hectic time in Omega, and I am convinced that Omega will be one step ahead in recruiting new team members,” says Dyngeland.
Expansive management team
Dyngeland is one of four new Consultant Managers hired this year. Kristin Jæger and Kari Marie Usken are already busy in Stavanger, and a new manager will join the Oslo office in March. Omega CEO Petter Aalvik points out that the number of employees and managers must grow in parallel in order for Omega to offer the high level of service consultants deserve.
“We have increased management capacity by 25 per cent this year, an increase in line with the growth of Omega in general. It is crucial that our Consultant Managers offer our team the best service possible and therefore our Management team must increase along with the number of consultants,” Aalvik says.
And the demand for more consultants keeps on growing.
“We had a record high increase in employees in 2011 and the need for more people has never been greater. Even if the percentage growth hasn’t been as high the last couple of years, the challenge of being small enough to care has not let up,” Aalvik says.
Leon Dyngeland brings with him experience in personnel management and sales having worked as a sales consultant for agricultural machines, a youth worker, an information consultant, a recruitment consultant, and as CEO for a residential project selling properties in Vindafjord, Norway.
Now he is ready to sell Omega's jobs to candidates.
"First and foremost, I am looking forward to travelling and meeting people who have shown interest in Omega jobs."
