Omega AS secures
frame agreement with A/S Norske Shell
Published: 11.11.11
Omega AS will be providing high-quality technical manpower to A/S Norske Shell’s upstream activities as part of a three-year frame agreement.
On 1 November Omega will begin delivery of personnel based on the three-year frame agreement with A/S Norske Shell, which covers Project Engineering, Discipline Engineering, Production Engineering, HSE, Contracting and Procurement and Project Control / Project Management. In addition, Omega has the opportunity to provide resources within Subsea Engineering, Well Engineering and Completions and Well Intervention on a case by case basis.
Omega expansion
"The frame agreement with A/S Norske Shell gives Omega a great opportunity for growth," says Omega CEO Petter Aalvik.
Omega will deliver resources to A/S Norske Shell’s base locations at Tananger, Nyhamna/Aukra and Kristiansund.
“We are very pleased that Omega is among the tender winners and now gets the opportunity to deliver personnel to A/S Norske Shell,” says Omega’s Chief Executive Officer, Petter Aalvik.
The new agreement leads Omega to further expansion in the top segment of technical consultancy, Aalvik points out.
“The frame agreement with A/S Norske Shell offers Omega a great opportunity for growth, and we are therefore looking for more experienced consultants and specialists to join our team,” he says.
Personnel
To meet the increasing number of requests and high activity, Omega needs qualified personnel with extensive experience in several areas including, Discipline Engineering, Project Management and HSE.
For twenty years Omega has provided project personnel and project management systems to the oil and energy sector. Omega currently has more than 840 employees worldwide. In 2011, Omega has been awarded frame agreements with Statoil, DetNorske and now A/S Norske Shell. Earlier this year Omega took a step outside its traditional client group, signing frame agreements with the Norwegian Maritime Directorate and the Norwegian National Rail Administration.
