US office introduces first Consultants Manager
Published: 07.06.11
New Omega Project Consultants Manager Anne Beato is ready throw her energy and experience behind Omega’s next push for expansion in the USA.
Ten years after the Houston office opened, Omega PS is ready for a bigger bite of the US market. As the client portfolio grows, and several large projects require more of Omegas PS’s services, the need for high-quality consultants increases. Omega`s comprehensive experience in recruitment, selection and placement of personnel will be adapted for Omega’s US business. This will be the focus of new Projects Consultant Manager Anne Beato, who will play a key role in Omega`s next big step towards expansion in USA.
A good starting point
Omega`s first US Consultants Manager Anne Beato is ready give Omega a bigger bite of the US market.
Beato brings to Omega extensive experience from the oil and energy sector. Although she believes the job will be challenging, she is more than ready for the task and believes she has the best starting point to ensure success.
"The market is tougher in the States, but Omega is recognized and boasts a solid client portfolio in USA including Nobel Energy, Worley Parsons, BP and ConocoPhillips. An amazing job has already been done over here, we have a good product and great skills. It will be fun to “sell” Omega to more clients", says Beato.
Omega`s newest consultant manager was born and raised in Stavanger, but has lived in Houston for some years. Beato comes to Omega having held positions within Supply Chain Management in several companies in both USA, Singapore, Brazil and Norway. She has now crossed over to the seller`s side, and will front some pioneering work towards new clients as well as strengthening Omega’s relationships with existing clients.
"We want to become and even bigger part of existing clients’ operations, and at the same time work to expand our client portfolio. The competition is strong, but at the same time we have many advantages; a strong backbone in the company with a well-established personnel base, high competency and many supporting functions that will make our job easier. Also, it is always great to work within the standard Omega attitude; “There is nothing we cannot do”," says Beato.
Contact point
President for Omega PS Houston, Øyvind Vik, says Anne Beato`s new position is a central to Omega positioning itself for further expansion in USA.
"First of all, we would like to offer even better service for our existing clients and offer more local candidates for US projects. Both American clients and Norwegian clients established in the US have required this. Also we want to give our US consultants a contact point who focuses on the consultant- and recruitment section of the business in USA," says Vik.
He says Beato offers the exact competence needed for both consultant- and client management.
"She is service minded, skilled in personnel, and with much experience from projects. As a partner for our clients she will help them find the right personnel suitable for the different project environments. Also she knows what is important to the consultant, and has therefor a perfect background to create the right environment in our consultants department the time ahead", says Vik.
