If you plan to go fishing while visiting our Bømlo cabin, we suggest your bring your own fishing equipment.

Cleaning

We ask that the cabin is left tidy after use. Washing and cleaning is done by our own cleaner between stays. Make sure to bring your belongings with you, and wash the refrigerator. Remember to get rid of the garbage, you will find a dumpster along RV 542.

Location

The cabin is located at Stokneset on the west coast of the island of Bømlo. Bømlo is a rather popular tourist location between Bergen and Haugesund, and is the last barrier before the North Sea. It is a popular boating area, and our cabin can be easily reached by boat.

Getting there

NB! If you have not been to our Bømlo Cabin before, we recommend that you print and take with you directions with pictures as it might be hard to find the way.

Finn.no map showing the location

Driving to Bømlo is fairly easy, it requires turning westwards in 'Trekantsambandet', the bridges and tunnels connecting Stord and Bømlo to the mainland.

  • The signs will read 'Bømlo', and then you should follow the signs to 'Svortland', which is the commercial centre of Bømlo.
  • Continue through Svortland through a traffic circle, and keep going straight on road '542'.
  • Make a right turn at the exit marked 'Alsvåg', and drive along the sea until the second intersection.
  • Make a right turn at the intersection, and then continue past the next intersection.
  • Make a right in the third intersection you get to, and take an almost immediate left down a gravel road.
  • Omega's cabin is the second to last on that stretch.
  • Please park your car so the neighbours have room for their cars as well.

Approximate driving times:

  • From Bergen: 2.5 hours
  • From Stavanger: 2.5 hours
